Ladies
Prayer Ministry meets at Russellville Church of God every Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. to have a Bible study and to pray for needs. The group is led by the director, Toni Shultz. It is an organization that provides
support and encouragement to each other, and empowers ladies with God’s word. We have seen God move in miraculous ways
and seen Him answer many prayers.
The ladies
in the ministry also love going to people’s houses to pray for the sick. We have two anointed teachers that alternate
teaching. Brenda Stimmell has been doing a wonderful job teaching on stress and how to deal with it, and will complete this
study early-April. Lisa Marshall did an awesome study of Abraham prior to this. Another goal is to help comfort people sitting
at the hospital with loved ones by sending Hospitality Baskets that provides snacks and small inspirational
books. Gay Musick is responsible for this part of the ministry.
·A child at school and provided
fees for different activities throughout the year.
·Women’s Conference
in September entitled, “Reclaiming Your Generational Destiny” with Victoria Thomas. There were ladies in attendance
from 11 churches in the area!
·At Christmas, we sponsored
a child through the foster care, provided a Christmas dinner for two families, and delivered 10 fruit baskets to shut-ins.
·A Valentine’s Banquet
with a spaghetti dinner, salad and dessert.We also had a creative activity of
designing baskets to be auctioned off by Chip Winstead.
